UK Submarine Programme

We have filled a number of key positions on UK submarine programmes, including safety case management, fire safety engineering and functional safety roles.

MAI Product Safety Training

We worked with MAI to design, develop and deliver a unique one-day engineering safe products course to over 2000 engineers working at BAE Systems - Military Air & Information (MAI).

QE Aircraft Carrier

For the past three years we have held lead fire safety engineer positions, holding the responsibility for all the Fixed Fire Fighting Systems, Fire Detection and Protection Networks on the QE.

We have been heavily involved in the ASTUTE whole boat safety case for over a decade and SOA Engineering staff are still engaged with BAE Submarines in an on-going supporting role for the ASTUTE Class.

DSEAR Assessment

Undertaken several DSEAR (Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmosphere Regulation) Assessments for a variety of industries, including manufacturing, processing and MoD.

Product Safety Workshop

We developed a bespoke five-day product safety course for the Australian Submarine Corporation (ASC) with the objective of raising the awareness and capability across all departments.

Product Safety Training

SOA Engineering were engaged by BAE Systems and the MoD to design, develop and deliver a 14 module system engineering training package for the safe operation of the dive chambers to the crew.

System Visualisation

SOA developed presentations based on the P&IDs system drawings to allow training and guidance to be given to those involved with the key systems on the Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carrier Programme.

Safety Case

Providing the engineering lead and support for the safety case justification of safety critical systems for a new state of the art high pressure combustion test facility in Cologne, Germany.
